Cannabis Executive Council Launches to Impact State Policy
Breakfast Announced at USCC Expo, Miami
Tampa, FL – August 20, 2018 /AxisWire/ The Cannabis Executive Council PAC announced today that it’s inaugural breakfast launch will take place at the US Cannabis Conference and Expo, in Miami, FL on August 25th.
The council is being formed to influence policy and assist in driving legislation throughout the State of Florida, through the collective efforts of its members, which are made up of existing industry leaders within the State.
Michael Minardi, Founding Member at the Council added, “The next legislative session is right around the corner and it is our responsibility to ensure that our market is properly represented and informed to ensure both patients rights and economic protections for all.”
The council will also identify, assist and drive the efforts of cannabis supporting candidates throughout the Florida region. Tom Quigley, founder of the Florida Cannabis Coalition and one of the Council’s founding trio said “Businesses suffer from a lack of legislative protections and are held at bay by restrictions to enter the marketplace. Our position is to develop committees, within our council, to focus and represent these sectors as a whole and push their collective agendas.”
The 4 primary components included in the organization’s structure will be Legislative/Policy Driven Council Meetings, Educational Modules (for members), Peer to Peer Community Outreach programs, and Industry-wide Speaker Panels.
David Rakower, President of Sibannacal Life and The Legendary Underground Game of Zonk, is the final piece in the three founding members. “Our intention is to bring something to Florida that no one has seen before. A true, value add organization made up of industry leaders throughout the State that share the common goal of driving policy and implementing change” Rakower continued, “We are here to support all sectors of the Industry while managing and implementing the will of our council.”
