Industry Power Women

MALIBU, Calif., Dec. 13, 2017 /AxisWire/ — Yvonne DeLaRosa Green, award winning actress and activist as well as founder of the world’s first upscale dispensary (99 High Art) and the luxury medical cannabis brand 99 High Tide, was awarded the 2017 “Business Woman of the Year” award by the organization Industry Power Women (IPW).

DeLaRosa Green was awarded for her achievements within the cannabis industry, specifically for pioneering a paradigm shift in dispensaries. She accomplished this by creating the world’s first high end/hybrid dispensary as well as the first cannabis luxury brand. In addition, she recently secured the first cannabis business license in LA County history.

DeLaRosa Green is an LA-native of Colombian heritage and a successful cannabis entrepreneur. She opened her first medical cannabis collective, 99 High Art, in 2008 on Abbott-Kinney Blvd in Venice. This establishment was heralded as “one of the best collectives in all of California” by Rolling Stone.

“Being awarded the first LA Cannabis Business License is very historic on many levels. Perhaps mostly because I was born and raised in Los Angeles and the medicine saved my mother’s life, here in this city. As an industry veteran, I am honored to be the first recognized as Business Woman of the Year by this organization and the women behind it.”

“Yvonne is fighting for not just legal medicine for patients but for our right to sit at a fair and equitable table.” said IPW Co-Founder, Ophelia Chong. “For these reasons Yvonne was chosen, as a leader, as a woman and as a minority in a new fast changing industry where we can lay the foundation for equality.”
